Sun Park is a New York–based image maker working across studio and location photography. His practice is grounded in an interest in how images are constructed, staged, and perceived, balancing formal precision with a quiet, observational approach.
Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Park’s early exploration into photography centered on the question of what it means to look, and how meaning is shaped through the image-making process. This inquiry continues to inform his work today, both in personal projects and commissioned assignments.
Park received his MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York. His work moves fluidly between fine art and commercial contexts, producing images that are both carefully composed and emotionally restrained.
